Study for Aphrodite
A large scale quadriptych depicting an underwater environment, in which various life-forms coalesce and disperse in a murky mélange. The depicted scene is charged by an ever changing vitalism at once generative and destructive, its “overall” composition intended to evoke a sense of the overwhelming. The work was exhibited at Sydney College of the Arts and in the Art on Paper Award at Hazelhurst Art Centre.
